Privacy Policy

Last updated: July 20, 2026 · Plain English, on purpose

The short version

We collect as little as possible: your email if you subscribe or buy, your message if you write to us, and an anonymous cookie if you vote in the bet. We publish our numbers, never yours. We don't sell data, run ad trackers, or use advertising cookies.

1. Who's responsible

The data controller is Schwab Consulting, Inc., a Florida (USA) company that operates minihustles.com. For privacy and data-protection matters: legal@minihustles.com (general questions: hello@minihustles.com).

2. What we collect, and why

Newsletter: your email address and which page you subscribed from, processed by beehiiv to send you the Sunday email and the Experiment Kit. Legal basis: your consent. Unsubscribe anytime with one click.

Purchases: your email and payment details, processed by Stripe for playbooks and by Skool for Lab membership. We never see or store your card number. We keep purchase records as required for tax and to deliver what you bought. Legal basis: contract.

Contact form: your name, email, and message, delivered to our inbox via Resend so we can reply. Legal basis: legitimate interest (answering you).

The bet: a signed cookie remembering your pick, so one visitor gets one vote. It contains no identity; we can't tell who you are from it. Aggregate counts only.

Hosting & logs: the site runs on Vercel, which processes IP addresses in standard server logs (security and rate-limiting). We don't use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.

3. Cookies & local storage

Strictly functional only: the bet cookie (your pick), a session cookie if the site owner logs into admin, and localStorage for small preferences (e.g. whether you've seen the quiz prompt, or your bet before the vote store is reached). No consent banner is needed because there are no analytics or advertising cookies. If we ever add analytics, it will be a cookieless, privacy-first tool, and this page will say so.

4. Who your data is shared with

Only the processors named above (beehiiv, Stripe, Resend, Vercel, and Skool if you join The Lab), each under their own privacy terms, and only for the purposes described. We're US-based (Florida) and so are most of these providers; if you're in the EU or UK, those transfers rely on the providers' standard contractual safeguards. We never sell or rent your data.

5. How long we keep it

Newsletter data: until you unsubscribe (then per beehiiv's deletion cycle). Contact emails: as long as the conversation is useful. Purchase records: as long as tax law requires. Bet cookie: expires by itself within ~4 months.

6. Your rights

Wherever you live, you can ask for a copy of your data, a correction, or deletion at any time. Email legal@minihustles.com and it'll be handled promptly. If you're in the EU or UK, you have full GDPR rights (access, correction, deletion, restriction, portability, objection, and withdrawing consent) and can complain to your data-protection authority. If you're a US resident, you have similar rights under applicable state privacy laws.

7. Changes

If this policy changes materially, the date above changes with it and significant updates get a mention in the Sunday email. No quiet edits, same rule as the ledger.
